As part of a larger landscape project, this driveway landscaping repurposes perennial flowers and ornamental grasses. The ivy and weeds that enveloped the driveway plant bed have been removed and the existing plants have been dug up for transplanting. The ornamental grasses have been transplanted from their original location surrounding a pool. The grasses have been split in order to spread them out alongside the driveway. The two-leafed green plants flower seasonally and have been planted in front of the windows since they are shorter and will not block light entering into the lower level of the home. Lastly, brown mulch was added to suppress weeds and eventually improve the texture of the soil below.
